Woodland Hills
Woodland Hills Church is a young church, but a dynamic,
growing church. It began 11
years ago, more as a weekend event than as an official church. They began
meeting in schools and kept outgrowing their location. Greg Boyd,
former Professor of Theology at Bethel College became the senior pastor and held
both positions up until about a year ago, at which time he resigned his position
at Bethel and is now the full time senior pastor at Woodland Hills Church.
In 2001 they moved into a
facility that was a former K-Mart and presently has around 5,000 in
attendance. Woodland Hills Church is located at 1740 Van Dyke Street in
Maplewood, Minnesota.

Woodland Hills Church Seven Core Values
We covenant to be a people who are . . .
1. Scriptural: All we believe and all we do
as a Church must be firmly grounded in the Word of God.
2. Passionate: If it’s worth doing, and
if it’s about the Kingdom, it’s worth doing with all of our heart and
to the best of our ability.
3. Real: How things really are is far more
important that how things look. God calls us to be real, not religious.
4. Covenant Keepers: God calls us to enter
into a fully committed relationship with Him and with each other.
5. Ministers: All believers are called to
be ministers. The primary function of pastors is to assist people in
discovering and developing their own ministry. An individual’s ministry
is based on their giftedness, passion, and character, and is most
effectively carried out in cooperation with a team of fellow ministers.
6. Spiritual Warriors: The central defining
mission of every believer is to further the Kingdom of God against the
kingdom of darkness. Prayer is one primary form of warfare. Nothing of
Kingdom value happens without prayer.
7. One with the Body of Christ: We are part
of the one Church in this region and are called by God to always function
as a team player. Assisting other churches has the same Kingdom value as
assisting our
own.
